Ok, i found another thread and they stated to try download and install the new driver from Intel and
it worked for them, so i downloaded and in the final step i got this

root@greyfox [/home/admin/e100-1.6.29/src]# insmod e100
Using /lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o
/lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ
parameters

Suggestions?

Intel Server Board S815EBM1

384 MB RAM

Red Hat 7.2

Kernel: 2.4.7, 2.4.10, 2.4.17

Integrated Intel® PRO/100 Network Adapter (Intel® 82562ET controller)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I just sent this server to our NOC and since i put it online, its been failing constently, it can be
online for 1 minute or 12 hours, and fail

I have seen alot of these pop up now (as i type this the server is down)

eepro100: wait_for_cmd_done timeout!
(message repeats XX times..etc)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am not a linux guru, but i did successfully upgrade to the latest kernel (one of my first
upgrades), is there an known fix for this that i can run? (if it would have to do with modules,
compliling etc, i would appreciate it if you send me instructions on how to do it step-by-step)

Thanks again
Gary Peltola
