well, i have upgraded to the 1.11a version of 7/31/2000 by installing
the netdriver-2.0 rpm from scyld.com.

this is better, now 4 out of my 6 identical machines seem to reboot
fine. the other two i boot into single user mode, and manually ifup,
which seems to be a high percentage move. but i have other things to
worry about so i will have to buy some 3com cards (a shame because it
is nice to have the integrated net stuff).

i have tried lilo-ing the kernel over and over again. but my problem
may be different as i don't see any messages indicating any errors
from the cards at all.

i have a 2-way SMP intel motherboard with integrated eepro 100 that
uses the eepro driver as included in rh-6.1 and that has worked
flawlessly.

thanks for the suggestions.
