Subject: lilo arguments

I have just added the following to lilo

append="ether=0x30,0x30,0x30,eth0"

to my lilo.conf file. I basically wanted it set at 100FD. My question is
this.. what are the three arguments for? Why can't there just be on
ether=0x30,eth0 or can there? actually i'd like to use ether=48,eth0
