Hi

i'm using RH 5.1 with kernel 2.2.1 SMP (2x450 PII) and QDI Brilliant IV
motherboard with on-board Intel 82558 10/100Mbps LAN controller
(eepro100.c:v1.06 10/16/98 built into the kernel)

The board works fine almost all time and the ifconfig reports the
following numbers:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
              inet addr:XX.XX.XX.XX Bcast:XX.XX.XX.XX Mask:XX.XX.XX.XX

UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
              RX packets:402351 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
              TX packets:0 errors:193857830 dropped:297549 overruns:0
              Interrupt:10 Base address:0xec00

at the boot up time:

eth0: Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 at 0xec00, XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX, IRQ
10.
Board assembly 691334-003, Physical connectors present: RJ45
Primary interface chip i82555 PHY #1.
        General self-test: passed.
        Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
        Internal registers self-test: passed.
        ROM checksum self-test: passed (0x24c9f043).
        Receiver lock-up workaround activated.

but i experienced interrupts in transmission for 10 or 15 secs randomly,
the ifconfig never reports TX packets.

do anyone have idea about what causes that problem?

sincerely

raul alvarez =)
