eepro100 SMP support ? which version?

Hi all,

Does any one know how well the eepro100 behaves in 
SMP(Symmetric Multi Processing) mode?
Is it supported by eepro100 v1.08 ?

Actually I could not see any 'spin_lock' functions or '#ifdef __SMP__' in
v1.08 code!!
The 'spin_lock' functions are there in the eepro100 v.091 code.

Can someone explain me the difference between these two versions?
If I run the system in SMP mode do I have to compile v.091 code into the
kernel?
