card produces very high load

Thanks for your help, but it did no help. IDE is disabled and I changed
the configuration of the pci-devices not to use IRQ 15. Still I have a
load of 5-50!!! when about 10 people using the gatewy (TIS-fwtk,
http-gw, V.2.x) and according to xosview almost all the load is produced
by the system and not the user-processes. For shure I also use the
packet-filtering of the Linux-Kernel, but I don't think that can be the
reason... oh, by the way, now IRQ 11 (the one of the eepro100b) is the
whole time high. Interesting is also the time the syslogd consumes. The
uptime is 17 hours and the syslogd consumed 6 hours !!!! is this
normal??? Look at this

#ps -x
