I find this an interesting observation (I am a long time lurker on the list) as I have recently found Zenodo working really rather well though I *am* in the set of people uploading things to do with COVID-19

<div class="">The REST API is pretty good though uploading very large files works best with the streaming API which is not 100% documented</div>

Zenodo does not work very well, perhaps it is overwhelmed with people studying corona virus. It simply does not accept any upload.
<div class="">However, if you have a GitHub account you can follow simple steps: activate a repository from Zenodo, sync your accounts, and the publish a release.</div>
