<div dir="ltr">I'm building a "cyclonic" dust collector for my dad's workshop as a Christmas present. The design I'm following is more or less this one, <a href="http://www.jpthien.com/cy.htm">http://www.jpthien.com/cy.htm</a><div>
<br></div><div>In looking at the design, I'm guessing the design of the bottom baffle was done heuristically. It seems interesting to use a CFD model to make a plot of the steady-state air velocity at the bottom baffle. </div>
<div><br></div><div>The only open-source cfd model I found in a 5 minute google search was openFOAM - is that a more or less standard solution for an airflow problem like this? </div><div><br></div><div>Any replies would be interesting.</div>
