That 64MB they use of course as with infiniband shipping a message of 64MB wil get you the full bandwidth over the network<br>

hadoop uses reads of 64MB at a time. If you do not have petabytes of<br>
big data i would assume doing reads of 64MB at a time<br>
at your laptop isn't gonna make things better :)<br>
