install M-VIA 1.2b2 on a RedHat 7.2, 2.4.10, SMP, 1G memory system, a Intel
Eepro100 NIC.</FONT></DIV>

errors come up and I fixed by following the FAQ (change gcc to kgcc; add #undef
min in front of #define min in vipk_core/vipk_rmm.h, remove {
PCI_VENDOR_ID_INTEL, PCI_DEVICE_ID_INTEL_82820FW_4,PCI_ANY_ID, PCI_ANY_ID, },
from eepro100.c). The compilation was successful.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> After I installed the device
drivers (via_lo.o, via_eth0.o), the /dev/*, modprobe via_lo via_eth0), I tried
to test them by using vnettest /dev/via_lo r localhost, and vnettest /dev/via_lo
s localhost on the same machine. The machine becomes dead
completely.</FONT></DIV>
