[Beowulf] OT: Windows tex editors/processors

I am running VISTA (ugh) on one of my machines.  I have been using Microsoft 
Works Word processor in the save txt mode.  It seems to work fine with 
various dialects of basic, fortran, visual basic and even R.  Chuck Ivie
