[Beowulf] xserv-g5 power usage

I just received a demo xserv-g5 (1GB ram, 1 disk, 2 2.0 GHz g5
processors), I upgraded it to OSX-10.3.4, and installed the xcode version
of gcc-3.3.

Using a kill-a-watt I recorded:
			VA	Watts	AMPS		Volts
Idle			139-141	138-140	1.18-1.19	117.9-118.5
1 stream -O3		201-204	199-201	1.72-1.73	117.1-117.4
2 stream -O3		208-210	204-206	1.77-1.79
2 streams+bonnie++	210-212	206-208

On a Sun V20z (4GB ram, 36.7 GB scsi, dual 2.2 GHz opteron) that I expect
to use more power than the usual opteron (service management processor,
lots of lights, LCD, 10k rpm scsi disk, and 4 network connections):

			VA	Watts	AMPS
Idle			231-233 224-225 1.99-2.00
1 stream -O3		250-254 245-247 2.17-2.18
2 stream -O3		272-275 266-268 2.36-2.37
2 streams+bonnie++	265-266 256-258 2.26-2.28

So not a fair comparison really, but 2 additional data points.

BTW, using a pthreads version of stream I managed about 2 GB/sec on the
xserv-g5 (with 1 or 2 threads), on the opteron I managed 2 GB/sec on a
single thread, and 4 GB/sec with 2 threads.
