seems to be 3.7 us one-way latency; is that the usual way to report
latency derived from zero-sized pingpongs?

google shows this:

nice paper.  interesting choice to avoid dma engines, though I don't
suppose that Sun's going to sell it as a nice $200 PCIX card ;)
