ah - was concentrating on the dual tbird problems. We're having problems with
a slew of servers for a data centre hosting contract we have - using XP1900+s
in DFI AK76-SN boards.

We had to upgrade the bios before they'd remain stable running any of the
cpuburn package's utils (burnMMX, burnK7) or the stuff from sysutils (memtest)
[these are debian & freebsd packages, probably similar for redhat]. Once
the upgrade was done, no problems however.

So it seems that the thing to do here is upgrade bios for XPs and not
upgrade for Tbirds :)
