Could be just tactic.   Sun is going to lay off a percentage of their
workforce anyway, and it's sommon for sales people to take advantage of news
like that.  

This is why it's so important to be able to independently verify sales
claims.  I don't even talk about sales with someone unless I can put their
demo product or source code to use in a production envorionment first.
