"Kids" like me have been putting acrylic windows in our PC cases for years, or even buying/building cases made entirely of acrylic. I'm no handy man though, so I don't know what the difference is between acrylic and lexan. Frankly though, for a personal beowulf, I'd be inclined to rig up some kind of rack that I can screw motherboards straight into, and ignore cases altogether.
