The desire to bust trusts (monopolies) is shared by a fraction of people on both the left and right of the political spectrum. A right-wing analysis goes: A market dominated by a monopoly is not a free market. So in this model, the government is needed to fairly apply rules to prevent or break up monopolies. But we're sliding even more off-topic. -- greg
