Yeach. This is Debian AMD64 GNU/Linux, using

$ gfortran --version
GNU Fortran 95 (GCC) 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)
$ gfortran hi.f
$ ls -l a.out
-rwxr-xr-x 1 toon toon 9754 2007-04-09 13:01 a.out

Doesn't pgf90 allow dynamic run time libraries ?
