Witht he caveat that Portland make excellent products (as I'm sure everyone on this list agrees). In addition, I would say that you should start by looking at online resources such as www.clusterworld.com www.beowulf.org http://www.phy.duke.edu/~rgb/Beowulf/beowulf_book.php Once you are a little bit familiar with these, you should try to find a friendly company which provides turn-key Linux clusters. They can help you with the choice of toolkits, compilers. monitoring applications etc. And if no such company exists in Karachi... well then there's an opportunity for somebody.
