Hi Rajiv I don't know about Windows-based clusters, but you might want to check out Beowulf Cluster Computing with Windows edited by Thomas Sterling MIT Press, 2001 The book runs to 488 pages so must have something to say on the topic. I have the companion volume Beowulf Cluster Computing with Linux and would recommend that as a good introduction to the topic.
