I have not used these packages (the diskless features) yet, so I cannot recommend one over the other. http://www.scyld.com http://www.opensce.org http://packages.debian.org/unstable/misc/diskless.html You might try the LTSP too. I know it's for workstations...but it might adapt to your needs.
