The S-Core environment offers PVM over PM (their low communication libs), 
which in turn can use FastEthernet, GigabitEthernet and Myrinet. However, 
the release notes for their recent version 5.0 say:

" 2. PVM is not fully tested.
  3. PVM does not work in an SMP cluster."
