Giganet vs. Myrinet vs. gigabit

Before Giganet was purchased, they had already moved away form
building hardware to instead building software that ran on normal gigE
adapters. This Emulex thing is that product. Emulex would never have
paid all that money for VIA hardware.

They claim to be able to do 1 Gb/s iSCSI transfers at less than 10%
host CPU overhead. A conventional gigE driver eats what, 50% of the
cpu?
