The main improvement of the MPX chipset over the MP is better PCI bandwidth. Given that you are only using bonded fast Ethernet, you won't notice a difference. The reason people care about PCI bandwidth are things like Myrinet and SCSI/IDE RAID, which need a lot of bandwidth. greg
