Hi Nathalie,
Can I ask how this parameter works? I've seen the
'nfsroot=server.ip:/tftpboot/client.ip' kernel parameter syntax, but not
the 'root=/dev/nfs' parameter.

Also How do others boot their diskless clients?
Can anyone advise how Scyld does?
I saw someone reference something like "/dev/ram3" is this referencing a
ramdisk to boot from?

David.

Hello

I always boot my nodes using root=/dev/nfs as a kernel parameter to boot a
node from the network
You can use a boot loader or recompile a kernel with this parameter
