We're happy to announce the release of new versions of the PVFS and PVFS-kernel software packages. It has been a long time since the last big release, and there have been a lot of changes: - numerous bug fixes - configure scripts in both PVFS and PVFS-kernel packages - linux kernel 2.4 support - MUCH better alpha support - utilities provided for checking server status Additionally we have completely rewritten the User Guide and Quick Start in response to questions from users and to account for changes in the system. We hope you'll give the new releases a try, and please let us know how things go, good or bad :). See http://www.parl.clemson.edu/pvfs. Thanks to everyone who has helped with debugging these releases! Regards, PVFS Developers
