ok, i'm following the pbs admin's guide, page by page. so far, so good.

0- mom rpm was installed on the nodes. full rpm was installed on front end.
1- mom is running on all nodes.
2- server is running on the beowulf's front end.

now i'm up to the part where the guide says "start the scheduler". i'm a
bit confused at this point.

the book says there are a number of schedulers that come with pbs, like
fifo, basl, tcl, etc. we want to run fifo.

i did what the book says literally - i simply ran pbs_sched, and indeed it's
running:

 3152 ? S 0:00 pbs_sched

but which scheduler is it using? i couldn't find any mention of which
scheduler pbs_sched is using in the pbs_sched log file or config file.

how do you specify which type of scheduler pbs_sched should use?

thanks!
pete
