It's quite cool, with special air inlets etc. Since the MB has a 64bit PCI slot in the position where the riser card should come, one needs a chassis that supports a 64 bit riser card. I'd suggest that if you are ready to spend $$ on the supermicro motherboard that you also get their chassis. Of course there are alternatives in 1U (not many though...) I decided for a 2U solution with cheaper MB.
