All, I've been told what I am doing is correct but I am still getting errors when trying to do a beoboot-install -a hda. What I get is this: # beoboot-install -a hda Creating boot images... Building phase 1 file system image in /tmp/beoboot.2488... ram disk image size (uncompressed): 1452K compressing...done Kernel image is: "/tmp/.beoboot-install.2487". Initial ramdisk is: "/tmp/.beoboot-install.2487.initrd". Failed to read partition table from hda on node 0. # bpsh 0 /sbin/sfdisk -l /dev/hda Disk /dev/hda: 1247 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track Units = cylinders of 8225280 bytes, blocks of 1024 bytes, counting from 0 Device Boot Start End #cyls #blocks Id System /dev/hda1 0+ 0 1- 8001 84 OS/2 hidden C: drive /dev/hda2 1 129 129 1036192+ 82 Linux swap /dev/hda3 130 1246 1117 8972302+ 83 Linux /dev/hda4 0 - 0 0 0 Empty # Any ideas why beoboot-install isn't working correctly? I don't know what I did correctly to actually get the partition table to write to the disk but it is now written as seen above. Is there enough space on /dev/hda1? This was created using the beofdisk -d option. -- Robert Sand. mailto:rsand at d.umn.edu US Mail University of Minnesota Duluth 10 University Dr. Information Technology Systems and Services MWAH 176 144 MWAH Duluth, MN 55812 Phone 218-726-6122 fax 218-726-7674 "Walk behind me I may not lead, Walk in front of me I may not follow, Walk beside me and we walk together" UTE Tribal proverb.
